This page will give a summary about the other pages in German language.

My name is Guenter Kaluza, and my profession is to teach piano, organ and music theory as well.
I studied music & music education in Western Germany. And then I worked there as a music teacher at several types of schools and places. First I worked also as an organist for several catholic churches and I have given private piano lessons to students of all ages as well, later on I had taught music in several grammar schools, and I had given piano lessons and organ lessons at a music school as well.

Since 1993 I changed from West Germany to the East, and now I am the managing director of a big music school in Eastern Germany.
And today (2009) I am retired.

But I am also working as an author and editor for several European music publishing companies.

Here I tried to design my first Internet Homepage in my life.

If you will send me an Email under my personal email account

To your Emails I will answer you as soon as possible.

When I was 15 years old I visited some concerts in Cologne, I have been most impressed about these experiences. For me music get more and more fascinating by its effect to the people.
And along the following years I tried to get answers to my questions like:
- Why can music influence or change the actual emotions of the people?
- Which effect does music have on the listeners or on the musicians or on (my!) music students?
- Which are basic differences between teaching music and teaching any other subject in school?
- Why do the students really want to practice a music instrument?
- What do they expect from me as their piano teacher?
- What is the basic fascination of music!

The literature about music and music education did not give me any answer to my questions. So I began to read or to study themes from other areas like Music & Esoteric, Marketing, behavioural research & biology, Management, Leadership, NLP or Theology to find out answers to my unanswered questions.
During many years I also checked many piano methods from Europe as from the United States.

One day one of my American friends showed me the piano methods

Mainstreams
and
The Young Pianist Series

design by Carol & Walter Noona from The Lorenz Corporation in Dayton/OH.

My first experiences made me quite exciting: My students became more fascinated by music and more motivated to practice. Students which had decided to end their piano lessons in our music school get motivated to continue their piano again.
I examined and scrutinized these books, and I became more and more enthusiastic about. So I decided to develope a special German version including my own experiences, my own ideas and the basic necessities of German piano teaching. And then I tried to find a German publisher for this great project.
In 1987 I found the publishing company RICORDI, and we developed this project together. And last but not least we could offer it on the Frankfurt Music Fair 1989. The title of the new series:

Musik wird lebendig
what means in English
Music becomes alive/lively.

From here along the next years I also designed supplementary books and the Intermediate Series

Faszination Klavier.

Actually I am working for several European publishers to design and to edit

music for the piano
music for the organ
educational music for small ensembles od students.

And in 2007 there started the New Organ Series
<Praestant
published by
Heinrichshofen's Verlag, Wilhelmshaven.
The first three books are:
Old English Organ Music
Organworks by César-Auguste Franck
Organworks by Felix Alexandre Guilmant
